The cultural centre is located next to the circular roundabout where two important roads in the city cross and next to the train lines that border the southern part of the plot, with very intense merchandise traffic, which, due to the loud noise they produce, makes it necessary to think of a building closed to the south, east and west, and open to the square to the north, which is configured as the urban space to which the whole building opens up.

This plaza is the access to the cultural centre, but it is also a place full of activity. The theatre opens laterally, allowing direct access to the square at the end of a show. It also opens with two large doors to the north, allowing access to the large area of the deambulatory, which can be used as a storage area for stage equipment, while the north façade can be converted into a summer cinema.

The shape of the building, with a sloped roof, higher to the south towards the roads and less high to the north towards the Avenida de la Constitución, favours this function as a building-acoustic screen in front of the square. While the façades to the exterior space to the north have large openings that provide natural light for the classrooms and library, and form a glass heart open to the centre of activity, the exterior façades are completely blind.
