OCCUPATIONAL CENTER IN MORALES DEL VINO, ZAMORA
The association ASPROSUB called us eight years after that first project of a residence we did for them. Now the ground was horizontal, wheat fields everywhere and an access road. Facing opposite, regular, accurate greenhouses, exacts as only an engineer could make them, where disabled children grew flowers to sell.
The "crown jewel" of its program of work.
If the gesture reflected the scale of the landscape and of the neighbor, no anecdotes fitted. 10, 5, 10, 5, 10, 5, 10. The five served the ten. Structure prestressed with two measures. Flat roof, but ventilated. Aluminum infecting the entire project, in slats, plates, perforated metal sheets, profiles. Each joint carefully thought. The project aimed at improving the efficiency levels and the intensity of those greenhouses, without added expressiveness.
The central spine, where showcases of the work of each workshop is exposed and through it, the background, the landscape. To the north the workshops, discharge doors, windows framework to grain fields and vents. To the south, greenhouses and road, the leisure spaces are located, classrooms, large drawers protecting from direct sunlight as personalized colorfull gateways to sit on a wicker chair watching the activity from home.
